What happens after you write in

Corrections are reviewed against original sources before anything changes on the page. If we agree an error was made, we fix it and note the correction at the bottom of the piece with a date, rather than quietly editing the text. If we disagree, we will explain our sourcing and reasoning in our reply, even if that reply simply confirms our original wording stands.

General feedback — on tone, on which topics we should add, on whether a particular layered explainer struck the right balance between the short answer and the detail — gets read by the person who edits that section. We cannot promise every message shapes a future page, but every message is read by someone who has editorial say over the site, not a general inbox handler.

What we cannot help with

We are not able to comment on or investigate stories we have not covered, and we do not provide personalized guidance on how to interpret a specific breaking story in real time — our explainers are written after enough reporting has settled to give useful context, not during the first hour of a fast-moving event.

We also do not handle inquiries related to any other organization's news operations, including any broadcaster's newsroom decisions, staffing, or editorial policy. Questions about how a particular outlet labels its fox news opinion versus its fox news articles, for instance, are best directed to that outlet directly. Our role is explaining news literacy generally, using real examples, not speaking on behalf of any newsroom.
